Although this comes into effect on Oct 1 the details have been about for some time.

It is interesting to see that organisations, including Models Direct, have amended their terms and conditions to include for example 'client accounts' to hold fees to send to models that go beyond 10 days of being paid by the hirer.

It's worth being aware that there is a significant legal difference between a model agent and a model business.

The problem will not be solved until photographers providing model portfolio services are also regulated.

Representation for actors etc isn't covered by the new rules I believe.

They list themselves as a model agency until the email reply, even in the URL it's model:
http://www.tuesdayschildagency.co.uk/apply_to_be_a_model.php

Infact, until the second stage email they don't mention TV.
