Can we have a castings section please?!

I think we need a castings/availability section like the other sites have.

Availability and castings are starting to get lost amongst all the off topic and other threads as I find more and more people are posting "pointless" threads.

The real work is getting pushed off the front page so quickly. It would make this site a hell of a lot better if we had this kind of section put in!

Thanks :)

I think Escape will be introducing a new Casting system soon.

Changes would definitely be appreciated

We already have NINE forums in the 'looking for work' section. If you are looking at castings, don't bother about the front page just go to the appropriate forum and, hey presto, there are all the castings that apply to you.

The LFW section IS the castings section, it's already in place.

I mean like a second bit on the front page. So that we have a separate bit for normal forum things and another for castings

I really can't see a great advantage, as it only takes a couple of mouse clicks to get into the looking for work forums, and then you can browse them at your leisure.

Once checked, you can generally just glance at the front page occasionally, as the evening goes along, and scan the titles of any new threads. Threads are generally on the front page for a few hours, as it takes several hours usually for them to drop off the bottom, even once people stop bumping it to the top. At the moment, a quick glance at my front page shows the lowest threads are between 4 and 5 hours, since last posted to, but still on front page.

The other evening, I came in from work about 7pm and the lowest threads on the front page were 17 hours old, in fact the bottom 20 or so had all been there for over 10 hours since the last message posted.

You can add to that by not viewing any threads from forums you are not interested in. Get the off topic forum off your front page and the rest of the stuff will be on there for ages.

If you really want just the castings on the front page, set your page up that way, and then go into the forum section if you want to browse the off topics etc. You don't have to have all the pointless chitchat threads on there, if you don't want them.
