When a forum post / thread is removed can it be replaced with a locked placeholder to say why it was removed and by whom.

This can be time restricted (say last 7 days) as to help alleviate space in the DB.

But at least this would tell members why something was removed and stop all the follow up threads.

It's not a topic thats ever bothered me, but I've seen it bother others. The idea is good Claw... but voulantary, so many pulling threads might not bother. If the coders behind the site can do it, how about the delete button only works when a minimum of 50 characters are types into a freetype "reason" box. Once forced to get typing, many will probably find their fingers flowing over the keyboard.
