Is it just me or is the site running very slowly tonight? I couldn't get on at all this morning but tonight it has taken me more than 20 mins just to post this!

Generally, compared to lots of other sites of all types, this one does run very slowly. Can be very frustrating at times, having to wait for pages to load. I just assume we have to live with it.

Matt are you with BT ? I used to have quite a bit of problems with this site being very slow - less so in recent months. If you are with BT restarting your router and clearing your cache may get you back to normal speed. Not too sure why - whether it is a proxy thing or something, I know this usually works for me when I find some pages being very painful. There were a couple of threads about it around a year ago Even if you are not with BT it might be worth a try Nige There are no rights or wrongs in photography - just different viewpoints

Yes, I am with BT. Just upgraded home broadband to business to get faster connection as it has been absolutely dreadful. We restart the router regularly and I clear cache (mac) weekly. Since upgrading, other sites are a fair bit beter but NM is still painfully slow at times. My office broadband is slightly better because it is much closer to the exchange.

I had problems with slow or no loading on Tuesday evening and yesterday morning. OK again now though.

Yesterday morning was due to the servers being physically relocated - Escape did post a thread about this. Maybe last night's issues were a follow on to this? Link: Server relocation
