Sorry if this is a bit long winded but can anybody help please?

I have been having trouble with mail since August. Not with the site messaging but by not having notifications of mail and reports to forums I am watching being sent to my email account.

Net-Model (James) deny blocking me personally or my email address. My ISP (Zetnet, or Breathe as they have now become) deny blocking mail from noreply@net-model.com. They have checked for me on several occasions and I have done all I can to see that it is not being marked as spam.

When I change my email address in preferences notifcations start again immediately. Private emails from Net-Model admin through my ISP get through! It appears it's only from "noreply".

I also changed the address in preferences to an email address that automatically re-directed them to my preferred address but once again they don't arrive. The ISP confirms my suspicions that the server knows the original sender and would not accept them in the case that they were being blocked but insists they are not.

If I change the address in preferences to any of the other addresses I can use, Yahoo, Google etc notifications get through, but I don't want to use web based mail I want them to pop up in my inbox.

Any ideas welcome.
Geoff

It looks like your ISP is bouncing these 'noreply' ones for some reason.

What OS and email app are you using? Most email apps can handle multiple accounts, and email services like Gmail can be interrogated by your email app (I do this).

So you could hook up your desktop email app to additionally download your Gmail.

Try using Mozilla Thunderbird and configure it to read multiple email accounts, gmail etc...very convenient to collect all your mail all in one place and some sophisticated spam filters.

No need to change email app. Most modern clients allow multiple accounts.

I haven't had NM notification for quite a while, not that I get much mail.
No problem really, in fact it's a nice surprise when I log in.

Anyone for tea.

Thanks Andy & Phil for those prompt responses.

My ISP (Zetnet/Breathe) insist they are not bouncing or blocking anything from "noreply" that was my first thought, but they insist they have checked back to last July and there have been no alterations anywhere on their system that would do this.
My second thought was that I was being blocked from this end but James says not. He has checked several times and can find nothing. He suggested I post here.
I'm using Widows XP and Pegasus. I know I could collect from several accounts but I don't want to. I can't be faffed to maintain them. I want to get to the bottom of this and fix it.!
After all it did work well for ages before, something changed around late August but I don't know what.
