Known Issues
Portfolios
Agency portfolios will be migrated to their new layout later this afternoon. Image titles while enabled in portfolios are currently in the beta phase. We will be monitoring feedback and making adjustments if needed.

Atm, pictures are taking an age to display when you click on a thumbnail.

Agreed approx 15 seconds here. Terry Remember, when you're reading other peoples thoughts on your own work, or giving others your thoughts on theirs: "There is no right or wrong in photography. It's just your opinion!".

Main images are often appearing larger than before, necessitating scrolling.
Also to minimize scrolling, would it not be better to put the new icons to the side of the main image and thumbnails?
Are the new icons going to have a description on roll over?
Look to camera, smile and sparkle. That's ace, ace baby!

When I click a folio image it does not open in a new window even though 'open in new window' is ticked in preferences.

Quoting DaniRiot:
Can we get email notifications on any image comments receive?
Maybe in the next update?
Yes, this is something that we are working on at the moment. It will either come in the form of email notification (similar to how it works with threads that you're watching), or we will tie this into the new activity feed system we're building. Quoting PhilGW:
What's happened to the image reference to photographer/model/stylist in thumbnail view?
We will be addressing this one of the initial hotfixes. Quoting TerryDraper:
When I post reply it goes back to top of page instead of new post.
This also will be resolved in the next hotfix. Quoting Ace:
Are the new icons going to have a description on roll over?
Yes. We will be adding mouseover descriptions for the new buttons in the next hotfix. Quoting Razoir:
When I click a folio image it does not open in a new window even though 'open in new window' is ticked in preferences.
The "open in new window" ability is currently offline. We will be releasing an updated version of this feature in the near future. --- For those that have brought up issues of lag when viewing the new portfolios, we are looking into this. For those that have already written in regards to this, I will send you mail shortly. For anyone else, please feel free to either add this thread or contact me directly. Thanks. I like the minimalist look to the portfolio.
It would be good to have details appear on mouseover - to give the benefit of the minimalism with the added information.
It would be good to have a little sharpening added after you've resized to thumbnail size - the thumbnails look pretty blurred at the moment (sharpening should always be done after resizing!).

I see the mousovers are now done, which removes some confusion. I'm concerned that the report button is straight underneath the others though. Apart from looking messy I can see someone hitting the wrong one. Surely it would look cleaner and be less confusing if this button was floated to the left and say the others to the right. On same line but well separated. _______________________________________________ Photography and Studio hire Stoke Mandeville Aylesbury

I've added a test comment to my main image and have three problems:
1 - It says that the comments are below the threshold (too few words?) 2 - I cannot re-rate the image (ie. turn a -1 to a +1 for instance) 3 - Even when I delete the comment in the Comments & Ratings manager it still stays on the image (it says it has been deleted but would be better if it and the rating were removed altogether).

Free members seem to have been prevented from posting images, it just displays a text of the link but not a clickable link, is this to discourage free members from posting?

I'm sorry but I'm really not getting on very well with the new layout. Is there any chance that the old layout could be had as an option? Click for NM classic, for people that just want to get on and use the site?
I don't understand why I have to click on or mouseover an icon to see information that was already on display. Why make it more difficult?
I also don't see why I now have to re-size all my images because they don't fit the screen without scrolling when they used to be fine. Why make it more difficult?
What has happened to Drag and Drop? It's driving me scatty. I drag and drop my images to my desired order and they end up in random places! Wasn't a problem before.
At least the page hasn't turned bright white and isn't killing my eyes!

I wanted to post a quick update.
Email Notification for New Comments
We have finished testing the email notification for the new image commenting system. This feature can be toggled in the Email Notification tab when Editing your Preferences. The initial release of this feature only sends email notification to the image owner when a new comment is posted. We will be adding something similar to the Watched Topics feature currently provided with forum posts.
Tooltips for Image Thumbnails
We are currently working on an interactive mouse-over tooltip window for thumbnails in the portfolios. This window will contain all the information removed from the old thumbnail listing.
Other known issues
This hotfix will also address:
Firefox and Chrome not correctly displaying the Report Portfolio button. Correctly taking the user to their new image comment when posting on a portfolio. Mouseover tooltips for the main image buttons in portfolios (added in Friday's patch). ---
I will post again once this update has gone online. Thanks.

Portfolio Ratings not available now? Before the update the ratings vanished for a long time ... but some kind person posted a preview of the new page which is the 1 thing from the upgrade that I could put my finger on being better than the old 'scroll back a month at a time to find the new ratings'. Here it is for those wanting it http://www.net-model.com/Ratings/ViewRatings.asp?in=true&StartDate=12/1/2005&EndDate=12/2/2019What's wrong with providing an account menu link to this page, why did it have to be hidden away for so long prior to the update and still hidden away now? Hmmmmm we seem to have gone a bit off topic James, heres a new issue: The tool tips for thumbnails ~ fly out to the right, beyond the right margin of my screen. This means I cannot read them until they are popped up and then I have to right scroll to see them See screengrab belowMartyn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Image Imagine ImagiNation IMAGE WALES www.imagewales.co.uk Proud to be a member of the TAFFIA
