The Severn Valley Group Shoot
(The Grand Day Out 4)
Severn Valley Railway
Kidderminster Town Station
DATE Saturday 25th June
TIME 9.30am - 6.30pm
Meet in the main Atrium outside The Refreshment Room at 9.30am. (pictured below)
Don't just think Steam Trains
This is a beautiful 1940's period preserved railway running along the picturesque Severn Valley
We will be attending during a 1940's weekend and there will be plenty of props and suitable backgrounds to suit this theme.
The opportunities for pictures are virtually unlimited. The locations also suit 1930's/40's/50's so if models wish to dress in costume for these periods you will also be most welcome. However period dress is not compulsory.
As this is a major family attraction everyone is welcome to bring other family and friends who will be able to enjoy themselves for the day while we're all busy taking pictures.
As the SVR are used to large groups visiting their attractions there is no need to make any charge for this group shoot.
It will cost £2.50 if you arrive by car to park at any of the stations along the line. Other than that any cost on the day is up to you.
In order to make the very most of your day you'll need to purchase a day ticket for the train as this allows you unlimited all day travel on a restored steam train and you can hop on an off at any of the beautiful preserved stations along the route to take pictures and visit some of the lovely riverside towns.
The cost of this all day ticket is £20 in advance for adults.
It's intended to be a fun day out. There's plenty of nice places to eat, drink and socialise or have a picnic along the river. There's also plenty of pretty towns along the route you can visit for food or shopping. Some of us might even take a few pictures.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
You must adhere to all aspects of health and safety and not wander outside of safe areas and respond to all requests from SVR staff to maintain high safety standards. The nature of this event is a casual social occasion and meeting of like minded individuals. By confirming your attendance you agree that you take full responsibility for your own health and safety during the course of this event.
As this is a very popular family attraction no aspects of nudity or suggestive image making will be allowed and model must be fully clothed at all times.
Do not shoot over other people's shoulders. This distracts the model and other photographers and spoils the day and resulting images for everyone.
Anyone turning up with the intention to "disappear" for the day will not be welcome as this is outside the spirit of a group shoot and it would be pointless to come along with this intention in mind.
