Definitely go for it. You are young and attractive. Start gently, always staying within your comfort zone and only get more adventurous as your confidence grows. Most important is to enjoy it and have fun.

Yes definitely go for it, look at photographers portfolios and see who you'd like to work with. Im sure looking at you pics there will be plenty who would love to do a photoshoot with you. Take care but above all enjoy it.

Kayleigh - go for it, but if you're looking for TF shoots choose carefully. Some photographers regard TF simply as a means of getting a model to practice on for free or a means of looking at boobies for free. Don't let yourself be used like that. If you're approached about a shoot - which I'm sure you will be - be sure to check out the photographer's portfolio very, very carefully. Ignore any claims he/she might make about being professional or experienced or whatever - it's far from unknown for photographers to do a spot of over-selling. Judge them solely on the quality of the pics in their portfolio. And then get in touch with a couple of the models who have given them references and ask questions about the person. As well as asking the other models the obvious questions as to what the photographer is like to work with, ask whether they kept their part of the bargain with TF shoots.

When you arrange a TF shoot, discuss with the photographer the quantity of pics, in what format you'll be getting them (prints, full size files or web-size files) and how long you'll have to wait.

Alternatively... Rather than leave yourself open to offers which you might not wish to accept (and then having to say 'no' to the photographer - which might cause offence as some photographers can be very precious about that sort of thing!), why not look through the lists of photographers in your area, identify ones who you think would be of assistance to you, then contact them to ask about a shoot on a TF basis. That way you're pulling the strings, rather than possibly unsuitable photographers trying to pull your strings.

Your very naturally pretty.
Just push and promote yourself as much as you can. Advertise on here, stay active on the forums, contact photographers who's work you like and you should get some good shoots booked
Good luck and welcome to NM

I have offered but you appear to have refused my theme for a shoot, namely "a portfolio update working strictly to your levels."

Why did you feel the need to share that on a public forum?

Surely that should only be between you both in PM's and it's up to the OP if she wants to work with someone or not. Clearly you don't respect that...

Yep.

And when we see 'why don't models reply to mesassages' threads, this is one of the reasons why. If a non-reply caused offence, how would a refusal have been taken?

I've not replied to any messages in the past couple of days issues have arisen with my children so I'm sorry if I offended any one by not replying but my children come 1st. I've checked mail quickly. Unless it was an urgent message then I haven't replied.

You would have recieved a reply as soon as I had a spare minute even if it was just an apology for lack or reply and will contact as soon as possible.

I don't think it was necessary to post that on a public forum, its seems rather unprofessional, not being rude, just my personal opinion.

If you had an issue you could have mailed me a message to see if there was a reason why I haven't replied and i would have been more than happy to explain this.

Also I didnt realise I had a set amount of time to reply to my messages.

Also I intend to answer all messages in the morning on my commute to Manchester.

There's surprisingly a fair few to answer on here and other sites so if I dont manage to answer all in morning I will do so at lunchtime.

I never thought of popping it on my profile, I have mentioned it to a few photographers when they have approached me etc. I will do that just now actually.

Yeah its public transport I use and its and hour and a half journey from the village I stay in so traveling places doesn't faze me. Lol

Yeah they do, I'm a single mum who works, with two children under the age of 4. My oldest has learning difficulties/disabilities also so he needs a lot of attention hence why sometimes I won't reply straight away to messages. My children will always come first.

Don't worry.

If a photographer posts a 'how dare this model not reply to me straight away and how dare she not take up my offer of a shoot' sort of message on the forum, it says more about him than it does about the model.

I'm not lol

Just don't think it was necessary for the 'naming and shaming' making me feel like i.have done wrong by not answering a message. If I had recieved a direct message i would been more than happy to send a quick message stating personal reasons have resulted in delayed replies rather than posting it on here.

Oh I dont know, it all seems rather childish either way. Im not going to let it faze me. I just hoe it doesn't reflect badly on me.

Thanks

Kayleigh

Wot Orson said ... saves me typing much

In a nutshell, chose who you want to work with and approach them yourself ... in addition, don't rely on the reference system for facts, use it as a directory and contact a random couple of recent models the photographer has worked with for the real lowdown ...
