I like that this site, unlike most others, has not been corrupted by Photoshop Monsters.
Why do you like Net-model?

The Boring Backstory:
After reconnecting my systems this afternoon, I couldn't get into Net-model for a few hours so I mosied on over to PissPot to click a few random 'loves'.

And I realized why I hate the place.

There is barely any photography on the site! PP stands for "Photoshopper's Paradise". And good luck trying to find out what a model looks like before all that digital paint splashes the body.

Perhaps I cater to a different market/clientele but I have zero understanding as to how those togs can sell dozens of those images a day. I suspect they don't and really have 'day jobs'.

My world uses raw photography. The togs and mods on this site seem to promote that raw style needed to appraise a model for other work. Togs here are not afraid to show the base work that then gets bought by agencies and others to do whatever magic with they wish.

Amen To That. It's one of the reasons why I stay on Net-Model

Retouching: Fixing and Repairing

Editing: Changing or altering.

PP is like a mini Diviant Art. It seems to be a model recruiting ground for digital artists, not photographers. I do not really care how awesome someone's photo art is. Similar to an agency, I need to see what the model looks like and not waste time sorting through the 'pretty-pretty'.

Perhaps the market for making money on model sites has changed to radical art since the internet crowd has not made in-roads in the fashion and editorial markets (not counting rag magazine covers).

But I remain an editorial and journal photographer catering to a largely conservative luxury tourist market. I make money reinforcing the stereotypes of tropical vacation lifestyles. I have no desire to be Michelangelo.

Great artists starve.
This mediocre photographer's children went to upscale universities with no student debt.

I sure hope Net-Model can regain profitability while remaining true to the mission of networking mods & togs so that everyone can make money.

Just the basics ...

Float a model in the Atlantic ocean, sprinkle some bougainvillea blossoms on her.

This is the original exactly out of the camera (except for NM post required resize).

Note parrotfish in upper right corner and anchor line, upper left.

... and typically gets picked up as-is by clients for publication.

All this company did was crop the image. All I did was recruit the model, set up the shot and click the shutter.

Photoshop? Hah. I went straight to the Rumshop and we had a ball of an after party.

I look at PP, models ask why don't you join?
I look again and decide no!
Don't know why, it just is?
