Hi Casey - if you want some paid work then here's a few tips:
- get some better portfolio shots. There's some fantastic photographers over your way - Alba photos, Paul Cox, Damian McGillicuddy, who can give your portfolio 'wow-factor'
- cut out the text-speak and write proper words...(sorry...but for many that's a necessity of being professional)
- be specific about the paid work you want...posing for amateurs? shooting for web-content?
- keep an eye out for adverts for work on these forums, and on other sites and reply direct to the people who post

Bottom line - and ask anyone who is now making money - this takes time and a lot of effort. A range of TFP shoots to develop your skills and portfolio are pretty much the norm now. Finding the photographers you like to get images in their style shows you to have focus. Anyone who earns their own money rather than getting a salary needs to get out there and chase the work, not just post up forum entries saying 'someone give me work'.

This isn't about people being kind, it's about you being fantastic and professional so that people want to work with you because you're quality.

Sorry if that kind of reply sounds harsh...but it is reality.

Si

It would also help you if posted in the correct forum, this for North Western photographers of the US

Simon has said it all, a little bit more professionalism would help here. With the images you currently have in your port, I would be surprised if any photographer would pay you for a job. Ensure you have something that they would WANT to pay you for. Being comfortable nude is not enough

i think you need some work to do!!

1. if you have experience in modeling then say so
2. go for TFCD to get some good images for your book
3. DONT talk in text talk - its unprofessional and looks tacky
4. "I AM A POLE AND LAPDANCER, SO KNOW HOW 2 BE SEXY, I AM NOT SHY AND I AM VERY COMFORTABLE WITH FULL NUDE XX" === i wouldnt put kisses on the end and i would state what you are interested in doing.

just some advice for you

Hi Casey,

I agree with what has been said above and I would suggest you take a slightly different approach in selling yourself.

You are more likely to get bookings if you put forward the benefits to photographers if they book YOU, rather than focussing on what you need to earn to pay for your holiday.

Chris.

Don't get me wrong, models can spend their earnings on whatever they like, but I prefer a model to show some interest in creating great images rather than hard cash being the ONLY motivation (which is how I feel the post comes across).

Note: Intended as friendly constructive advice for future posts, nothing more.
