Q. 1.1 What is the purpose of Net-Model?

Q. 1.2 How do I get my own Net-Model portfolio?

Q. 1.3 I have a portfolio but want to have it removed. How do I do this?
A. 1.3 Accounts without images are automatically removed from Net-Model 7 days after creation. If you have images in your portfolio, go to your Image Manager and delete the images in your portfolio. When maintenance is performed, your portfolio will be removed. For those account holders that either have Premium Membership or have had Premium Membership in the past, contact an administrator to have your portfolio removed.

Q. 1.4 I log into my account but the site says I am not logged in. Why?
A. 1.4 Net-Model uses cookies to track your login session. Check your internet browser to ensure that cookies can be set on your computer.

2. Nm Mail.
Q. 2.1 How do I contact a user on the site?
A. There are several ways of contacting a user on the site. You must be logged in order to contact anyone. There are two (2) main ways of contacting a user:
     (1). When looking at a users portfolio, you will see a contact button on the top right of the portfolio. Click this to contact the user.
     (2). If you know the alias of the user that you wish to contact, click the "Mailbox" link on the top of the page. From there follow the "Compose Message" link, which will take you to the compose new mail page.

Q. 2.2 Why can I not contact a user on the site?
A. There are several reasons why you might not be able to contact a user on the site. Below are a list of possible reasons.
     (1). If you have a model, photographer or stylist account then you must either have images in your portfolio or have a premium membership account.
     (2). If you are an agency then you must either have models listed under your account or have a premium membership account.
     (3). If you have a standard account then you must be a premium member.
     (4). If you have met the (1) criteria and are not a premium member, you could have reached your outgoing message limit for the day.
     (5). Check to make sure that your internet browser is accepting cookies. If the site is not able to detect that you are logged in then you will not be able to contact users on the site.

Q. 2.3 I received notification that there was a new message in my inbox, yet the message does not appear. Why not?
A. The message could have either been removed from a Net-Model administrator (for violating our Code of Conduct) or the sender was removed from the site. If it is the latter, when a user is removed from Net-Model, all of his/her outgoing and incoming messages are purged from the database.

Q. 2.4 What types of information should I not include in a mail message?
A. Unless you know the party well, we suggest not including sensitive information such as your phone number and your address (physical and/or email). For those with model accounts, we suggest that you do not disclose your name unless you are sure that the party is reputable. Q. 2.5 How do I report a message to an administrator?
A. When viewing a message that needs to be reported to a Net-Model administrator, you will find the "Report to Admin" link at the bottom of the message. Please be sure and include a brief message as to why the message was reported.

Q. 2.6 Can I archive the mail in my inbox?
A. Yes. View the message that you wish to archive. Click the "Forward to Email" link at the bottom of the message. The site will forward you a copy of the message.

Q. 2.7 How can I find out if someone has read the outgoing mail that I have sent them?
A. This is a premium member feature. If you are a premium member, click the "Mailbox" link at the top of the page while logged in. This page will allow you to see all of your mail folders. Click the "Sent Messages" folder link. Next to each message it will show the current status of the message (read/unread/replied/deleted).

Q. 2.8 How can I stop receiving email notification for new Nm Mail?
A. You can turn off/on your Nm Mail notification from your Account Manager. When logged into the site, click the "Account Manager" link found on the command bar at the top of the page. From the Account Manager, you can "Edit Preferences" to toggle the status of your Nm Mail email notification.

Q. 2.9 How can delete the messages in my sent messages folder?
A. You can't. Once your message has been sent, that message belongs to the recipient. It will remain in your sent folder until the recipient either deletes the message or it archived.

3. Portfolios.
Q. 3.1 How can I edit the information in my portfolio?
A. You can edit your portfolio information through your Account Manager. When logged into the site, click the "Account Manager" link found on the command bar on the top of the page. From your Account Manager, you can "Edit Portfolio" to change any information in your portfolio.

Q. 3.2 How do I add images to my portfolio?
A. You can add images to your portfolio by going to your Image Manager. Your Image Manager can be found on the command bar in the sub window under the Account Manager link. There is also a link to your Image Manager when you are at the Account Manager page.

Q. 3.3 How do I remove images from my portfolio?
A. You can remove images from your Image Manager (see above Q/A on how to access your Image Manager). On the right side of the Image Manager screen you will see the thumbnail listings of all the images in your portfolio. Underneath each image there are a series of commands available to you. Once of these commands is "Delete Image". Click this and the associated image will be removed from your portfolio.

Q. 3.4 Why doesn't my portfolio display thumbnails for my images?
A. Only images that are of type .jpg have thumbnail support.

Q. 3.5 What is considered adult content?
A. Images that contain any nudity should be check marked as adult content. Images that have adult themes or are suggestive in nature should also be check marked as Adult. If you are unsure, check mark the image as adult and contact a Net-Model administrator for help. Please keep in mind that this site is used by minors and we wish to keep our community friendly for all ages.

Q. 3.6 Why can I not add images to my portfolio?
A. There are several reasons why you might not be able to add images to your portfolio. Below are a list of possible reasons:
     (1). If you are not a premium member, you are limited to updating your images every 7 days. Check to see when the last time you updated your images.
     (2). All portfolios are restricted to the amount of space that your images are taking up. Check to make sure that you have not reached the limit of space your images are using. If you are in need of more space for your images, consider upgrading to a Premium account.
     (3). If you are not a premium member, you are limited on the number of images you can have in your portfolio. Check to ensure that you are under the maximum number of images allowed. If you have reached the limit of images allowed for your portfolio, try deleting an image to make room for new work.
     (4). Check to make sure that your internet browser is accepting cookies. If the site is not able to detect that you are logged in then you will not be able to add images to your portfolio.

Q. 3.7 How can I get more images in my portfolio?
A. The easiest way to get more images into your portfolio is by upgrading to Premium access. Premium membership allows you add a significantly greater number of images over free access account holders. Also, if your images are large in size, consider compressing and shrinking the size of the image.

4. Forums.
Q. 4.1 What are the forums for?
A. The forums are available for you to publicly discuss and exchange ideas. We have a broad spectrum of forums for our members. Everything from Looking for Work to General Discussion, the forums are the best way to get seen and heard in your community.

Q. 4.2 Which forum should I post my message in?
A. Net-Model has a large selection of forums to choose from. Find the forum which best fits the topic for your message. If there is a forum that you would like to see, please feel free to contact an administrator, they will be more than happy to accomodate your needs.

Q. 4.3 What types of information should I not put in a forum message?
A. Our forum are public and can be read by anyone. We ask that you refrain from posting email addresses, phone numbers or physical addresses. We ask that you use your best judgement on the type of information you are posting since this information can be read by anyone.

Q. 4.4 How do I post a new forum topic?
A. Go to the forum which you wish to post your message. On the top right side of the page, you will see a button labelled 'New Topic'. Click this to post your new forum message.

Q. 4.5 How do I reply to a forum topic?
A. When reading a forum message, underneath each reply (and the topic itself), there are two buttons available for you. They are 'Reply' and 'Quote'. If you wish the contents of the message you are replying to displayed in your message, click the Quote button, otherwise click the Reply button.

Q. 4.6 What does 'Watch Forum Topic' mean?
A. Watching a forum topic allows you to receive email from Net-Model informing you when a new reply has been posted to the topic.

Q. 4.7 When posting a forum message, why does the image show up as a box with a red x?
A. The poster of the message has entered an incorrect link to the image they tried to display.

Q. 4.8 Can I post nude images in a forum message?
A. Yes. We ask that if you are posting a nude image to put a (N) at the end to the topic to inform other users that there is a nude image in the message.

Q. 4.9 How do I edit my forum post?
A. At the bottom of your forum post, there is an 'Edit' button available to you. Click this to edit your message.

Q. 4.10 How do I delete my forum post?
A. Click the edit button to take you to the Edit Message page. From there a link will be available to delete your forum post.

Q. 4.11 What happened to my forum post? (Missing/Disappearing forum posts.)
A. Forum posts can "disappear" for a number of reasons. Either the post was removed by an administrator or moderator, the posting user was removed from the site, or the posting user was suspended. If you need further information regarding a missing post, please either contact the moderator of the forum that the post was in, or a Net-Model administrator.
