My inspiration comes from photographing people. I love creating the image that shows a person from a different perspective. This image is a projection of my visualization. It is part of me.
I have been working in my studio for the last 6 years photographing models, musicians, actors, and, in general, people whom I meet and who are character full and expressive. What captivates me most is the possibility of revealing the inner character through visual experience. In the creative process I use digital camera as well as classical film.
I love working on locations too as they can create the atmosphere, and act as a magnifying glass through which the character appears even more obvious and deep. I also involve body painting and make-up, theatre grimas as part of the creative process. That comes from my fascination with theatre, performance, and any form of self-expression. I also do styling myself, and that is another aspect of me being able to commune myself visually.
Photography to me is the means of showing the beauty that surrounds us- be it a withering leave on the pavement or a human body in its full or non- full blossom. Visual impact and aesthetic momentary appeal are more important to me than the story behind it.
My work has been exhibited in the galleries around London and published in some magazines, also entered through to some competitions.
