I consider my time to be valuable and I take my work seriously, so I don’t mind being a little blunt.
My rate for model portfolio work is $200 for 3 clothing changes/looks.
*I will do a basic correction on all the photos in Adobe Photoshop.
*I will (or you can) pick one photo from each look (for a total of 3) to which I will do more to than basic correction in post-production.
*The model gets CD's with the sessions photos within an agreed upon time frame.
*These photos are yours to do with as you want, but I do retain copyright. This will only be an issue if you sell the photos to a 3rd party.
*The model is responsible for his/her own hair and makeup unless other arrangements have been made.
*A makeup artist can be hired for $100, please ask for this ahead of time to avoid scheduling conflicts.
*For more photos to be heavily retouched than the 3 described above, I charge $50/hour for Photoshop/computer time.
I do a limited amount of Time for CD (TFP) talent exchanges with models when I have new techniques that I want to explore. In this way we will shoot half what you want and then we will shoot half what I want. A model release is required for this.
*If you want to exchange your work for my work then have a few photos that clearly show your face that have not been heavily retouched and a few that clearly show your body (nudity is not required) that have not been heavily retouched and we will do some negotiating.
*The model will receive CD's with the photos from the shoot, plus six to ten 8x10 prints of the best photos from the session.
If you want me to hire you please understand that I will not hire a model I do not know, have not worked with, or that does not have a portfolio full of excellent photos. It wastes my time to hire someone who can’t produce the work needed.
