Current Projects / Interests
Working on B&W fine art nudes for "hand-coloring" for book and art show projects. I teach fine art nude figure and fashion photography workshops. (over 45 years professional experience)
Alan was the former founder of Midwest Photographic Workshops, Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Alan now lives in North Phoenix,Arizona where he is the Director & Instructor of Cavecreek Photographic Workshops in the North Phoenix area, near Scottsdale, Cave Creek, Desert Hills, AZ. - Alan also is a photography faculty member of PVCC college and the Scottsdale Artist school where he teaches.
Alan is seeking female models (18-50) to work with for his Arizona portfolio and photography seminars. Alan does some tfp-cd photo work with new potential models who have an interest in creative fine art nude figure.

Published Works / Past Projects
Am published by Amherst Media publications, a book my former partner C.J. Elfont colaborated with me on. My photographs and text in the book available from Amazon.com and Barnes and Nobles and most larger photography stores. Title: Photographers Guide to Shooting a Model & Actors Portfolio. (Elfont & Lowy) Alan's images have appeared in Vogue, Swimwear Illustrated, Gallery magazine and in a number of catalog and trade magazines. Alan has been a commercial photographer for over 40 yrs and currently works & exhibits his "Handcolored B&W images" and is a juried member of the Sonoran Art League in Cave Creek, AZ.

Photographer Notes
I have 45 years or more professional experience. I worked as a photographer in Chicago shooting Spiegel's catalogs, Sears, Mongomery Wards and many Model portfolios. Moved to Detroit in 1970 where I created Midwest Photographic Workshops. Taught at Cranbrook Institute of Science (adult-ed) photography as well as at local community colleges. Had my own commercial studio in Farmington Hills, MI.
In April 2002 we moved to Phoenix, Arizona to teach photography workshops and also do commercial photography. Alan's "Cavecreek Photographic Workshops" has been featured on Phoenix NBC TV channel 12 "Mid-day show" and in numerous Arizona Republic newspapers articles. Recently returned from Cologne Germany Sept, 2007 for a book shoot with 14 models on location along with German photographer friend who lives there, Ralph Lambrecht. Alan is looking for Phoenix based female models for tfp shoots and hires female models for his fine art nude figure workshops he teaches.
