Studio Blanco is situated in the heart of East Oxford. We are nestled within a small community of artisans, and are lucky enough to be surrounded by some great coffee shops, bars and restaurants.
The studio is compact but extremely versatile. Our aim is to offer a space in which you are able to create your own mood and atmosphere, a place in which you will feel comfortable exploring your ideas and fulfilling your potential as a photographer. So many studios are intimidating and overwhelm the individual to the point that they become self-conscious, but we want the opposite; we want to offer you a blank canvas onto which you are able to project your desired aesthetic, a relaxed and inspiring space in which to achieve your goals.
We have all the equipment you will need to get the shots you are after. All you have to do is bring your camera and imagination. Previous clients have used the studio to create product images, record album art, nude and portrait photography, or simply to build up their portfolios by experimenting within the space.
You can choose your backdrop to create flawless, professional images, then experiment with our array of state of the art lighting until you get the exact mood and definition you are after. We also have a changing room and various props and seating that you might find invaluable on the day.
We have been around for six years and in that time it has been our pleasure to play host to countless photographers, models, artists and business professionals. Our aim has always been the same: to offer a space in which the client feels comfortable and confident.
Monday to Saturday studio hire £15 per the hour
Sunday studio hire £20 per the hour

Paper background (white, cream, charcoal, chromagreen, red and black) UNLESS damaged during the session, for which a charge of £9per meter will apply
You are welcome to borrow our flash exposure meter, at no extra cost.

• Access to the studio is from Dawson Street. There is a pathway to the left of the wonderful Kaz Bar and you will find us nestled just above Annie Slaon’s studio space. Please note that there is no parking at the studio. Parking details can be found below.
Public Transport
• If you are travelling by coach from London, there is a stop at St Clements. From there we are just a two minute walk away as Dawson Street is the first left off of St Clements if you are walking towards The Plain.
• If you are travelling by coach and intend to arrive at Gloucester Green Station, then it is just a short walk into the city centre. From there it is a five minute bus journey to the studio. Buses depart from Queen Street (The number 1 & 4) and there is a stop on St Clements. If you are new to Oxford, we recommend that you forget about the bus and simply walk the length of the high street. This is only a ten minute walk and offers you the chance to stretch your legs and take in some of the wonderful sights the city has to offer.
• If you are travelling by train, you can catch the number 5 bus from the station to St Clements.
Parking
There is a cheap and convenient Pay and Display car park on St Clements. This is situated two hundred yards from The Plain Roundabout and is a very short walk from the studio: if you are using SatNav, the postcode is OX4 1FN.
There is free on-street parking on Marston Road: if you are using SatNav the postcode is OX4 1FN. There is also free parking on Cowley Place (just off of The Plain) OX4 1DY.
Spaces in the above locations are limited so we recommend the Pay and Display if you want to save yourself some unnecessary stress.
