I write about art and photography. More accurately I'm writing my PhD on eighteenth century portraits, and I'm a journalist who writes for various photography outlets. Sometimes I even get time to shoot for myself and my portfolio. If you'd like to work with me on portraits or art images then drop me a line. I'm interested in exploring conceptual themes as well as experimental work. I'm inspired by artists like Ana Mendieta, Julia Margaret Cameron, and Nan Goldin (amongst many others).  Themes I'm interested in exploring centre around what it means to be a woman, and an exploration of how women might be seen through a lens that isn't the male gaze. I'm also interested in (male and female) bodies in nature. Lastly I'm still interested in shooting erotic images of men. It's been an ongoing interest for the last decade or mroe, and I still enjoy the challenge of shooting these images in a society that largely doesn't appreciate them.
