Hello!
In a bid to get the forums active again or purely because I'm nosy, I want to know what you're all up to today 😄
I'm about to drop some homemade bread off with my neighbour and then spending the day making a huge papier mache Buddha.. as ya do!
What about you?

Booking in paid clients shoots so I can afford to play sometimes and ordering a new laptop so I don't have to fight with my son over the current desktop editing machine. Think this surly beast ought to about cope 😁

Haircut, visit mum to see how she is today, ironing, shopping - such a rock and roll lifestyle.
Where the hell did it all go wrong? 🙄

Chopping down and burning saplings from my garden I've ignored too long. After my recent shoot with [model=talisa]@talisa[/model] outside I intend to use it more for shoots though as it's overlooked ñot for nudes,[/quote]
Ahh love being outside.. sounds fun! Are you allowed to burn stuff before 6pm where you are? We're not allowed here, but kinda on an estate so maybe that's why.. wish we could have bonfires, love that smell
Anyway yes, secluded gardens are great for shoots.. good luck with the project!

Aww, lovely you're visiting your mam.. haha, actually my day went a bit differently in the end and not particularly rock & roll either.. coffee & chat with my neighbour and took his dogs out for a walk along the beach.. more relaxed than initially planned and to be fair, I always love being outside when it's hot & sunny ☀
Hope you get a bit of glamour going on tomorrow ;-)

Not allowed or ‘not allowed’ according to some busybody making up rules to suit them? I’ve had the latter in the past. Just replied that was odd because there was nothing in the bylaws last time I read them. Never heard any more. Never read the bylaws either 😏

Oh yeah, probably the latter to be fair.. it is a bit snooty down this way! Not our home by choice.. it's a long story(!) but to be fair, it is very beautiful here and the beach is always so secluded it feels like your own private beach half the time 😁

Just finishing decorating a spare room as a playroom for the grandsons complete with jungly wallpaper to a couple of walls, and a good size blackboard!
The room will have a futon for use by any visiting models so they'll have to like zoo type semi cartoony animals staring at them.
On a more positive note the room does have wifi BUT the room is pretty close to the railway so I do try to restrict visitors to Saturday nights when the line is shut.!!!!!

More day-job shoot editing.
I'm not complaing because it's good to have the work ...but hours of what can be repitidous editing can be wearing. I try and find a good radio play on the BBC Sounds app; then the editing and time fly by!

Looking at the new surroundings and remembering many hours spent on here.
Trying to find a bit of motivation after a fairly awful 12 months, to see if I want to come back to this.

I hear ya!
Today is a retouching day for me too, (pore by pore beauty retouching) and I've just had two new jobs of a similar nature come in the last few hours, so I'm glued to my Mac during this rainy stretch..
I have 60s motown and coffee to see me through, then @natural_happy_girl is coming over tonight for a few days, hooray!

Currently sitting around the reception waiting for a client to come and collect her damned images. There is always one that somehow can never quite make it during normal hours for anything. Will not be impressed if they do not turn up having waited back an hour, even if it was a decent sale. Travails of running a portrait studio I guess.

Trying to write two articles on photography for a client, while stopping every few minutes because I've had ideas for my PhD. Apparently my brain is unable to focus on one thing at a time today, so everything has been taking a bit of a productivity hit.
(Of course I've also drafted two personal pieces of writing today too, so I'm really all ove the place. Here's to better fortune tomorrow...)

Having a cuppa tea right now and watching Fleabag on Amazon Prime. Heard it had won some Emmy Awards so decided to check it out.

Oh how frustrating! Did she turn up in the end.. hope so!
Some people just aren't very mindful about trying to fit into your day, they only think about theirs, hope it all worked out in the end x

Try to rebuild a server that fried itself, did some coding and between all that edit some client images whilst waiting for the server to decide if it was going to live or die. Usual day for me.
Oh and the server died though it made a rather valiant rally at the end. So today's fun will be to decomm and remove from the rack.

cf: Working nude with hobbyists -vs- shooting your own shit for dirty old men of all ages in the privacy of their own bedroom.
